One of the longest relay races in the world, usually hitting the mile mark it changes slightly every year , with the course consisting of 36 legs and each team member running three in rotation. Run on the stunning Kiawah Island, located 25 miles southwest of Charleston, this is about as stunning as a race can get. There are plenty of turns, but when each one offers a new view more spectacular than the last, it more than makes up for it. The course is point to point, following a mostly gentle downhill slope, and is open to, walkers, runners, cyclists, hikers and even horseback riders.
